The Bedding

What is the fabric quality of tuck bedding?

Our super soft 300 thread count sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers are woven using a proprietary blend of Egyptian Cotton and TENCEL™ Lyocell. The Classic Collection features a sateen weave and the Crisp Collection a percale weave. All of our bedding is pre-washed, lightweight and specially designed for year-round use.

All of our Blankets are made with 100% BCI Cotton and Quilts with a custom blend of European linen and TENCEL™ Lyocell.

All tuck products are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certified.

For more information, head to our Our Story page.

How do I launder my tuck bedding?

Warm or cold machine-wash cycle with like colours, and tumble dry on low or hang to dry. We do not recommend the use of bleach as harsh chemicals can impact the durability of natural fibers like cotton and TENCEL.

How do I properly fold a fitted sheet?

Like you, we are only human. After much research we lifted our favourite methods from online tutorial videos from the experts like Marie and Martha. If you find an even better way in your own search, please share the secret with us!

Do you sell flat and fitted sheets separately?

Yes! We have introduced fitted sheets and shams to our collection, which can be found here!

What is a sateen weave (i.e. the Classic Collection)?

Sateen is the style that our Classic Collection has been woven in. The three-over, one-under thread weave makes it look luxe, as well as smooth and silk-like to the touch.

What is a percale weave (i.e. the Crisp Collection)?

Percale is the style that our Crisp Collection has been woven in.
The one-over, one-under thread weave is what makes for its matte, lived-in, linen-like look and oh-so-breathable feel.

Sustainability

I’ve never heard of TENCEL™ Lyocell, where can I find out more?

Since the textile industry is amongst some of the largest polluters in the world, we naturally decided to take the more environmentally responsible route, and chose to make our bedding with Tencel Lyocell fibers—which are derived from sustainably sourced wood  (primarily eucalyptus). Tencel has gained global recognition for its environmentally responsible closed loop production process which manufactures cellulosic fibers from wood pulp with high resource efficiency and low environmental impact.
